SAFETY PRECAUTIONS TO FOLLOW WHILE FLOCKING YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE

In the period of Christmas when everyone is excited about getting the family dinners and parties they looked forward to since the beginning of the year, it is essential to keep in mind that a flocked Christmas tree completes a Christmas celebration and as such should always be included.

However, a lot of people only know to decorate these trees; they tend to ignore the hazards that might come with it, thus not practising any safety measures. Comb through to discover safety hacks to a hassle and danger-free Christmas tree flocking.

  • Place Your Tree In Ventilated Spots Always And Away From Fire

Make sure to place your tree in areas with cross ventilation, not choked regions that are not well ventilated. Also situate them far from fire, heat or anything flammable to avoid the Christmas holiday becoming a disaster.

  • Thoroughly Check Your Christmas Lights For Electrical Hazards

Make sure to double-check your lights. Check for broken cords or open wires to be on the safe side. Be sure that no wire is exposed to the detriment of an unsuspecting Christmas guest.

  • Unplug Your Lights When Not In Use

Especially when going to bed and every time the light isn’t in use, it shouldn’t be left connected. One way or the other, this might prove to be hazardous. You sure don’t want to wake up to the smell of burning coming from your living room or yard.

It should be known that most fake trees are highly flammable, and if you think you might have a problem protecting yourself from this, you might as well want to select a real tree instead.

  • Keep Your Pets Away

A couple of pets at home, especially the curious ones like cats might want to explore and tug at trees. Be sure to protect them as things could get a bit messy for them as well.
