Merry Christmas Love. Many people across the globe anticipate the end of the year, mostly because of the festivities that accompany the year’s end and the excitement that comes with the beginning of a new year. In the new year, you will more often than not find people that want to make new resolutions, set new boundaries, achieve new heights, see things with fresh eyes some people even go as far as wiping their slates clean and giving their selves a fresh start.
While it is easy to get carried away by the excitement that a new brings with it, one must not forget that an old year must come to an end before a new one begins. And of course, in many parts of the world, with the end of the year comes Christmas.
So what does Christmas really mean to you as a person? When you hear the expression, the spirit of Christmas, what rings in your mind? Is the Christmas period just a time where we decorate our homes, workplaces, and streets with ornaments and lights? or a time when people gather to eat, drink and be merry? Or a time when kids wait on Santa, expecting to receive gifts that they deserve from him?
Of course, we are all of the slightly different opinions about what Christmas should be like, I think the fundamental focus of the season should be love. Love is in the acting and not in the mere saying. So this Christmas, extend a hand of love to people around by whatever means you can. It can go a long way in making their year.
